About this course

From September 2015 a new MSc Education programme will be offered enabling students to design a tailored programme of study suited to their cultural and learning needs.  Students on this programme will be able to opt to specialise and receive awards in the following disciplinary areas:

  • Leadership and Policy
  • Learning, Technology and Society
  • Mathematics Education
  • Neuroscience and Education
  • Policy and International Development
  • Psychology of Education
  • Science Education
  • Special and Inclusive Education
  • Teaching and Learning

Identification of these specialisms will be shown in brackets on your award for example, MSc Education (Leadership and Policy).

Selection process - Online application form

English language requirements, One of the following:

• IELTS : 6.5 overall, minimum 6.0 in all bands
• TOEFL : 90 overall, minimum 20 in any part
• SAT : 610
• ACT : 23

Core unit:
Introduction to Educational Inquiry

Optional units:
Students studying this programme will be able to take optional units from across the school (100 credits)

Dissertation:
You will also complete a 15,000-word dissertation.
