About this course
This course will enable you to understand the context, importance and relevance of big data problems facing a business, and how to solve them.
Business Analytics prepares recent graduates and early career professionals to understand the context, importance and relevance of big data problems facing a business and how to solve them using a variety of statistical, operation research and machine learning techniques.
Combining academic rigour and practical relevance, students will learn from leading practitioners and a world-class faculty how to apply the latest academic thinking and analytical and computing tools to help make business decisions. There will be a careful balance of teaching, hands-on coursework and training in data analysis and business intelligence tools, plus regular seminars by external expert speakers.

Students may also choose one elective from another MSc Business School programme, subject to availability.
Over the summer, students have the choice to undertake either a Capstone Business Analytics Project or a Work Placement. Whichever option they choose, they will complete their studies with a 5000-word Business Analytics Report.
