About this course

Biomedical Engineering is a nascent field in the UK that involves the application of physical, chemical, mathematical and computer science and engineering principles, to the analysis of biological, medical, behavioural and health-related problems. Biomedical engineers develop innovative devices and procedures for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, by relying on an in-depth understanding of science and engineering fundamentals combined with a broad knowledge of physiological and anatomical systems.

This programme allows you to gain expertise in the exciting field of biomedical engineering and covers both theory and practical applications. You will acquire the analytical tools and broad physical knowledge of modern engineering and science, will have a fundamental understanding of the anatomical and physiological systems, and will become familiar with recent technological breakthroughs.
