The two-year track General Biology in the Master’s programme Biological Sciences is designed for students who do not wish to restrict their focus to one subject in the field of biology.

Eligibility Criteria
All tracks are two-year programmes, and are designed for students with a Dutch Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or its equivalent, but are potentially also open for students from universities or Higher Vocational Education (Dutch: HBO) with a background in beta-gamma, future planet studies, biomedical sciences, life sciences, geography, earth sciences, chemistry, environmental sciences, physics, mathematics and even econometrics.

Course Modules
The programme offers the freedom to combine courses of all biological masters of the University of Amsterdam and other universities in consultation with the examination committee. This gives students the opportunity to create their own specific study path.
