About this course

Molecular imaging is a form of biomedical imaging, which is rapidly growing in importance in the applied life sciences, and contributes in the advancement of biomedicines. The Master of Molecular Imaging aims at forming international leaders in molecular imaging with this unique program which is taught in collaboration with The University of Sydney. Students will have the opportunity to undertake courses through both institutions.

This program is especially designed for chemists, biologists, physicists, computer scientists, engineers, radiographers and nuclear medicine technologists who wish to gain an in-depth knowledge of this new biomedical imaging approach.

Study options:

Graduates will have the opportunity to progress to the following programs:

  • Master of Philosophy
  • Doctor of Philosophy

Careers:

This program will provide students with an in-depth knowledge of new biomedical imaging approaches and prepare students to be a leader in this evolving field. Use the Master of Molecular Imaging as a springboard for a rewarding career as a radio-pharmacist, physicist or engineer in the biotechnology sector or in a clinical imaging department. This program is also a pathway for Research Higher Degree program such as a PhD.

While this degree may be accredited by an official industry accreditation body in Australia, completion of the degree may not result in graduates receiving automatic accreditation. Students can contact the relevant registration body for details of any conditions for accreditation.
