About this course

The first year provides a solid introduction to broad-based physical and engineering subjects. The college introduces more specialised aeronautical material, such as aerodynamics and the mechanics of flight, from year two onwards.

This includes the opportunity for all second years to attend a flight testing course at Cranfield University. Management modules and a variety of non-technical modules are also included in the first two years under the Imperial Horizons Programme.

The third year includes four core modules. In addition, the college offers a large selection of optional modules including modules such as  helicopter dynamics, innovation management, aircraft systems engineering and unmanned vehicle technologies and project management.
Students will also take part in a six-week design project at the end of the third year in which they replicate a real design office in either an aircraft comp
