About this course

The Master of Mass Communication (MMC) Programme is designed for those intending to pursue a career in the communication industry. The curriculum exposes students to theory, research and practice and demonstrates how these can be applied to the workplace. The programme offers two streams: Media studies, and strategic communication with an emphasis on Singapore and Asia.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants seeking admission to the MMC Programme must have at least one of the following qualifications:

  • A good Bachelor's degree in communication studies or its equivalent from a recognised university, and at least one year of relevant working experience.
  • A good Bachelor's degree in other fields of study from a recognised university, and at least two years of relevant working experience.
  • In addition, foreign students from Universities whose medium of teaching is not in English, an English proficiency test e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, etc. is required.

Course Modules

Part-time students may take up to 3 courses per semester and complete the programme in four semesters (two academic years).

How to Apply

Admission to the MMC programme is on a competitive basis. Applicants who are weaker in one attribute can compensate with strengths in other attributes. The shortlisting will be based solely on the application package submitted by the applicants. No interviews will be conducted as part of the shortlisting process.
