About this course

The Master of Conservation Science is an ideal program if students are seeking expanded career prospects with government, conservation and resource management agencies or a research career in the integrative disciplines of conservation, ecology and biodiversity.

Students will complete the requirements for the #24 Master of Conservation Biology and then undertake an additional #8 of either coursework or a research project that could lead students to a PhD.It is an ideal program for graduates and professionals seeking to expand their careers prospects into a wide range of government, conservation and resource management agencies.

This is a quota-based program and meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee entry into the program.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirement:

 For Australian students:

  • Bachelor's degree in botany, ecology, evolution, zoology, or an approved discipline with a GPA of 5 on a 7 point scale.

 For International students:

  • Bachelor's degree in botany, ecology, evolution, zoology, or an approved discipline with a GPA of 5 on a 7 point scale.
  • IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6.Study Abroad and Incoming Exchange students are only required to meet the overall score (eg 6.5 IELTS or 87 TOEFL or 64 PTE( Pearson Test of English )).
  • TOEFL (Paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language): 570 (5.0 in TWE (written), and 54 in reading & listening)

English language requirement:
