About this course

LKCMedicine offers a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree programme that has an innovative bespoke curriculum designed to meet the healthcare needs of Singapore. It draws extensively from the world-renowned Imperial College London’s medical curriculum and leverages on the strengths of NTU in engineering, biomedical research, humanities and business. Upon successful completion of the five-year programme, you gain a MBBS degree jointly awarded by both universities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with qualifications as deemed fit by the university (based on their online application) may be required to sit for an NTU Entrance Examination before a final decision on admission can be made. 

Prerequisites for this course include Chemistry AND Biology/Physics at Senior High school Level / IB Higher Level In addition, applicants are required to submit the following material for admission assessment:

  • Academic results
  • Personal statement
  • Details of exceptional talents and/or outstanding achievements beyond school co-curricular activities (if the applicant would like to be considered under Discretionary Admissions Scheme)
  • Two online reference reports

How to Apply

Application to undergraduate programmes is done online at home or anywhere else the student prefers. There is no hard-copy application form. The student receives a confirmation email with their application number after they have successfully submitted the application form.

The student must click on the appropriate link showing your qualification to submit an application. Only one electronic application form corresponds to your high school qualification can be submitted.

The applicant is required to submit the required supporting documents by the deadline to complete your application:

  • Passport particulars page. 
  • High school results slip/certificate/Diploma
  • Secondary school results slip or certificate University academic transcripts (for current or former university student only)
  • TOEFL, SAT, IELTS or PTE Academic or ACT with Writing (if applicable)
  • International Olympiad Award Certificate (if applicable)

Applicants will have to register for the Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT) and take the BMAT as part of the criteria for entry to the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) programme. Applicants take the BMAT around November each year, prior to their application to the LKCMedicine.
