About this course

Success in the area of High Performance Sport is highly dependent on the ability to translate the foundations of scientific research in Sports Science to the elite athlete training programs in Individual and Team Sports. The objective of this Master is to enhance the knowledge and experience of the student in the specific field of Strength and Conditioning.

With the Master in High Performance Sports: Strength and Conditioning UCAM, students will be able to acquire the skills to use more advanced technology in Sports Performance, experimenting with top-level athletes.

  • Apply statistical techniques needed to conduct a proper analysis of each of the research methodologies in the area of sports performance and conditioning
  • Identify aspects that characterize the qualitative and quantitative designs applied to research in sports science
  • Analyze the consistency and adequacy of the quality criteria used in the evaluation of sports performance and conditioning
  • Apply the physiological, biomechanical, behavioral and social principles to the object of research

  • Design preventative and promotional programs for the practice of physical activity in contemporary society

  • Perform tests that measure strength, endurance, flexibility and balance in older people based on their medical history
  • Identify physiological and metabolic changes that occur with interventions in the area of sports performance and fitness
  • Manage scientific databases for literature search and review in order to master the specific work area of sports performance and conditioning
  • Develop scientific work based on features and structures of different types of scientific publications and acquire the ability to present results

Online Application

    Proof of Language Proficiency, e.g. Diploma of B2 English level or equivalent*

* UCAM can offer special preparatory language courses on campus. The International Admissions Office at UCAM will assess all the above documents.

Personal Interview

The interview takes place over Skype and lasts 20 to 40 minutes containing questions related to the documents relevant to the application as well as questions about
personal motives, future aspirations, extracurricular activities and hobbies, leadership skills, creativity, social engagement and emotional intelligence.

Payment of Pre-Inscription Fee and Visa Application

  • In the event of a successful application, UCAM will issue a Conditional Offer Letter (COL) to following non-EU students for their visa application process. Please make sure to check the requirements on the Spanish Foreign Affairs Ministry’s website before proceeding with your visa application.
  • The Pre-inscription deposit is imperative to guarantee the placement offered to students, and for the enrollment procedures that follow after.
    A formal “Letter of Acceptance” will be issued once the placement has been confirmed with the payment made to UCAM and the documents legalized (where applicable).
