English in Education is for secondary teachers of english or advisors and teacher educators wishing to follow a programme of advanced study after a period of classroom experience. It equips students with essential theoretical and research knowledge to enhance teaching practice.

Eligibility Criteria

A 2:1 undergraduate degree (or international equivalent). Lower undergraduate grades will be considered in certain circumstances, for example if the applicant has a PGCE with master's level credits. It is recommended that applicants have some relevant professional experience, either in teaching or in other educational practice such as policy. However, applications from candidates who do not have any experience but who do have relevant academic qualifications will be considered.

Please give your reasons for choice of programme, choosing King's and for wishing to study at MA level, together with an explanation of what you hope to gain from the programme.

Application closing date

The deadline for applications is 02 September for 2016 entry. Note that funding deadlines may be earlier. Applications will be considered subject to availability of places, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. International applications must be received by 29 July to allow sufficient time for visa processing.
