About this course

The Master's programme in Ancient History offers students a stimulating environment in which to study a broad range of historical issues pertaining to the ancient world. The course is unique in that it offers a joint degree programme by which the University of Amsterdam and the VU (Free University) collaborate together, allowing students to become acquainted with the specialisations of a wide range of staff members of both universities.

    • Ancient Studies
    • Archaeology
    • Greek and Latin Language and Culture
    • History
  • English language requirements: New Master's students should be able to speak, read, write and understand English at advanced academic level.
