About this course

This 4 year degree offers broad based training in biological sciences and prepares graduates for challenging careers in Life Sciences research and industry. It provides a strong foundation in biological sciences that can include technological and business elements. 

The core course curriculum is built on chemical, cellular, molecular, computational and structural biology, as well as genomics and genetics. This degree provides an opportunity to concentrate on a selected area based on individual interests, strengths and career aspirations. The course provides an indepth focus on current topics related to medicine such as neurobiology, immunology, cancer biology and developmental biology. The course lets its students dedicate their final semester towards a research project and it also provides them with opportunities for international exchange with various partener universities all over the world.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with qualifications as deemed fit by the university (based on their online application) may be required to sit for an NTU Entrance Examination before a final decision on admission can be made. 

Prerequisites for this course include: Mathematics at Junior High School Level / IB Standard Level and Physics/Chemistry/Biology at Senior High School Level / IB Higher Level
