About this course

Sustainable food production has never been more important - with the world population ever increasing, the environmental pressures on our planet have never been greater. The dual four-year program allows students to combine practical business skills with their interests in sustainable agriculture. Students will study the scientific and managerial principles required to help commercial farmers sustainably increase their output of food and fibre to feed and clothe the world with the least environmental and social impact. The Bachelor of Sustainable Agriculture component of the dual provides students with the skills and knowledge to help industry tackle some of the big problems facing our planet. The Agribusiness component of the program will prepare the students for business management positions in industries which demand graduates who are consumer focused, commercially aware, innovative, internationally orientated and technically competent.

Students will learn about marketing, finance and managing people and technology along the agrifood value chain. They will study business courses in accounting, economics, and market research in an agribusiness context.
