About this course

The Bachelor of Agribusiness will prepare the students for a business career in the growing number of food and fibre industries. It is ideal preparation for business management positions in industries which demand graduates who are consumer focused, commercially aware, innovative, internationally orientated and technically competent.

The BAgribus is designed to ensure students have access to the best courses and facilities at UQ. Students complete courses at both the St Lucia (Brisbane) and Gatton campuses.

Careers:

The UQ Agribusiness program is designed for students who aspire to be the business leaders and managers of the future. This program will equip the students with the necessary knowledge, skills and self-confidence to assist in effective and successful management, within constantly changing and highly competitive environments. Graduates establish careers in the private and public sector, both within Australia and internationally.

Agribusiness graduates find employment in a variety of fields including (but not limited to):

  • Commodity Trading

Eligibility Criteria

English language requirement:

  • At least 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-band of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent test.
  • Study Abroad and Incoming Exchange students are only required to meet the overall score (eg 6.5 IELTS or 87 TOEFL or 64 PTE( Pearson Test of English )).

Academic Requirement:

  •  For Australian students:

          OP/Entry Rank 2016:11/76

  •  For International students:

          1) Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) English and either Mathematics A or Mathematics B. 

          2)At least 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-band of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent test.
