About this course

The Bachelor of Arts is a flexible degree that provides students with the optimal balance between a defined sequence of study and flexible course options. This innovative program has been designed to develop graduates with the key practical skills and interdisciplinary knowledge required to be the leaders of tomorrow. The program will provide the students with highly developed skills in written communication, problem-solving, critical thinking and interpersonal understanding.

Economics is the science of decision making. As individuals, communities, companies and governments, people face choices every day, weighing up the costs and benefits of the decisions made. With the ongoing momentum of globalisation, development, economic/financial/cultural integration and increasing pressure for ecological sustainability, economics remains the key element. Economics determines much of today's social and political landscape, and students trained in this field are exceptionally well-positioned to play a leading part in the future direction of business, government and society.
